Coral Cliff House is on the old Maynards sugar plantation to the north of Speightstown on the north west coast and just inland from Port St. Charles marina. Situated on a ridge about quarter of a mile inland, the first impressions are the elevated position, the lush tropical garden, and the views of the west coast and out to the Caribbean sea.

The house was built in the early 1970s as a family home with the specific design of a Z-shaped floor plan so that all the rooms take full advantage of the cooling Trade Winds, It features several outdoor living spaces, a swimming pool with paved surrounds, and is set in a one-acre garden providing privacy and tranquillity without being isolated.

One very special non-built-in feature of the position of the house is the sunset. It is an unforgettable moment to sit on the patio watching the display of colours as the sun sinks into the Caribbean sea, and absorb the calm of the garden. This is your “island in the sun”.

Living and Dining Rooms

The living room, with several easy chairs for relaxing, opens with sliding doors on two sides to the attractive, outside, covered dining area with seating for 12, a shaded sitting area with lounger chairs, and a walled patio surrounded by hibiscus flower beds. A CD/Cassette/Radio player which is MP3 compatible is provided.

The spacious refurbished kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, large fridge/freezer, kettle, slow cooker, toaster and microwave oven. Ample crockery and cutlery is provided to cater for up to 20 people. There is a gas BBQ

There is a separate laundry area with automatic laundry tub, washing machine, iron and ironing board for the guests’ use.

Pool and Garden

There is a large in-ground swimming pool close to the house with sun loungers and garden chairs surrounded by lawns, flower beds and shady tropical trees.

There are 3 double/twin bedrooms, all ensuite;

Master Bedroom

The large master bedroom has a king size bed which can be made up as twin beds. The room has fitted dressing tables, an overhead variable speed fan and two pairs of full height glass French doors one of which opens directly onto the garden and pool. WiFi broadband connection

The adjoining en-suite bathroom, bath with shower over, W.C. and a marble topped vanity with basin and cupboards under, is accessed from the walk-through wardrobes.

The second large double/twin bedroom has a variable speed Hunter ceiling fan, fitted wardrobes and en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower, W.C. and marble vanity with cupboard under.

Air Conditioning

The house does not have air-conditioning and does not require it. The house is situated high on the edge of the cliff and has constant cooling trade winds throughout the year. The variable speed Hunter ceiling fans provide more than sufficient air circulation

For Security two digital safe is provided

All linen, including beach towels, are provided and laundered, Two folding beds are available for guests' use. A cot can be hired

There is a maid who comes in the mornings from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. She will look after washing up, bed making and laundering of bed linen and towels, and cleaning the house. She is a great help with local traditions and information.

Gardener 1 day per weeks and 2 days per week for pool maintenance and cleaning
